2015 Domaine Jean Chauvenet Nuits Saint-Georges Les Perrieres 1er Cru
The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Perrières 1er Cru has an impressive bouquet with ample blackberry and raspberry fruit, fine definition and beautifully integrated oak. The harmonious palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit and a pure, sustained, precise finish. This is an outstanding Nuits Saint-Georges. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

2015 Domaine Jean Chauvenet Nuits Saint-Georges Les Vaucrains 1er Cru
The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Vaucrains 1er Cru has a lovely, multifaceted bouquet of precocious red cherry, raspberry coulis, fig and light, almost gravelly scents. It manages to retain much better definition than some of its peers from the northern sector of the appellation. The palate is well balanced and harmonious, displaying superb grip and tension, and slightly powdery in texture, with a long tail on the finish. This is a noble Nuits Saint-Georges that revels in the precocity of the vintage. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

2015 Domaine Jean Chauvenet Nuits Saint-Georges Les Damodes 1er Cru
The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Damodes 1er Cru has a magnificent, well-defined, pure bouquet of black cherry and wild strawberry with subtle cassis notes and impressive crushed stone scents tucked underneath the fruit. The dense palate is medium-bodied with lovely sapidity. Clearly a wine built for the long haul, yet undoubtedly shows the requisite tension and terroir expression. Superb. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
